The concept of sustainability is not a new idea. In the current situation all the global issues related to either environment or energy sector have forced to rethink in a different way for an economical and eco-friendly sustainable solution. A large number of physical and biological routes including adsorption, advanced oxidation process, photocatalysis, electrochemical, algae or microorganism based processes have been proposed for recycling wastewater as sustainable solution.
