At the end of 2018, the installed wind power was around 600 GW, with a yearly increase in the order of 10%.\u00a0The development of wind turbine technology requires advanced scientific techniques in the fields of aerodynamics, modeling and simulation, applied statistics, control and monitoring, material science, and applied mechanics.\u00a0On these grounds, this Special Issue is collecting contributions about the most recent advances in wind energy science.\u00a0The list of possible topics is wide.
