The term \u201chybrid\u201d is generally understood as an object made from two or more different elements. Hybrid composite materials are defined as composites consisting of at least two dissimilar materials embedded in either a thermosetting or thermoplastic polymer matrix. What makes these materials so unique that intensive research is undertaken into their design and manufacture?
