Nanomaterials, which can be distinguished into several classes on the bases of their dimensionality, including one-dimensional (nanotube, nanowire, nanorods), two-dimensional (nanosheets), and three-dimensional (nanoparticles) types, have, over the last few decades, attracted the attention of scientists in many fields of application, including as heterogeneous catalysts in many industries, such as chemical manufacturing, energy-related applications, and environmental remediation, as well as gas sensors, batteries, and optoelectronic devices, among other biomedical and agricultural applications. This Special Issue on\u00a0<strong>Advanced Nanomaterials for Sustainable Energy, Environmental, and Sensing Applications<\/strong>\u00a0will attempt to cover the most recent advances in nanostructures, concerning, not only their synthesis and characterization but also their functional and smart properties to be applied in scaling factors, such as grain size, thin film thickness, and porosity in the context of a lattice defect model, nanoceramic thin films, nanoscale superlattices, and mesoporous materials. The articles presented in this Special Issue will cover various topics, ranging from different techniques for synthesis and morphological modification to the preparation of catalytic systems and their application in several areas of interest, such as in catalytic processes and energy, environmental, photochemical, and sensing applications.
